Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce Announces Seven New Board Members

and Slate of Officers for 2010

 

February 2, 2010 (Newnan, GA) — The Board of Directors of the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that seven new board members have been elected to three-year terms and two board members have been re-elected to a second term.  In addition, eight outstanding community leaders were named to serve as board officers for 2010.

 

The new board members are: Rob Brass, Murray’s Minuteman Press; Danny Beck, Beck Janitorial; Dean Jackson, Coweta County Schools; Rusty McKeller, Pattillo Industrial Real Estate Group; Lana Mobley, NULink; Sharon Szymanski, Canongate Golf Clubs; and Mark Whitlock, Central Educational Center. 

 

Returning for a second term are: Jan Alligood, Georgia Power Company, and Ryan Huber, Outmed, LLC.

 

Board members elected to officer positions are: Steve Mader, Chair, SouthTowne Motors of Newnan; Vicki Kaiser, Chair-Elect, Piedmont Healthcare; Tonya Whitlock, Vice Chair—Business & Community Advocacy, West Georgia Technical College; Randy Cardoza, Vice Chair-Economic Prosperity, AGL Resources; Judi Alvey, Vice Chair-Membership & Marketing, Comcast Spotlight; Dennis McEntire, Treasurer, Newnan Utilities; and Jan Alligood, Immediate Past Chair, Georgia Power Company.

 

“Every year, we are extremely fortunate to have a wealth of committed leaders from which to draw for our Chamber board,” said newly-elected Chairman Mader. “Each of our new and returning board members has a demonstrated ability to lead wisely and well, and understand the vision and mission of the Chamber in promoting economic prosperity for all. Their broad networks and their ability to build relationships within the community will make for a great year for the Chamber.”

 

With more than 600 members throughout Coweta County, the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce is an independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing economic prosperity for all Coweta’s citizens. As the county’s largest business organization, the Chamber works to provide business leadership to foster an economic and cultural climate favorable to all business, in order to create a higher quality of life for all residents.
