• 2016 Business Plan

    Each year, the Newnan-Coweta Chamber Board of Directors develops a business plan that guides the work of the organization. Work gets done through the four divisions highlighted below.


    Chamber Chair:       Tony Ferguson, Georgia Power Company

    Chamber Mission:  To champion increased economic prosperity for our members

    Chamber Vision:     To be recognized as the premier and most influential business organization in Coweta

    Voice of Business Division, chaired by Martin Pleyer, Grenzebach

    Goal: Be the voice of business by representing business interests at the local, state and national level


    1. Learn, Leverage, Lead – Identify, explore, and understand  the issues of greatest importance to Coweta businesses and develop strategies to influence and collaborate with public and private stakeholders to support a business-friendly community

    2. Prosperity’s Front Door®— Implement key community development strategies

    3. Support Work-based Apprenticeship Model – Partner with the Central Educational Center and the German American Chamber to develop processes for integrating the system into our Coweta culture

    Members Success Division, Chaired by Tonya Whitlock, West Georgia Technical College

    Goal:  Enhanced Member Success


    1. Networking OpportunitiesImplement opportunities for members to connect through signature, networking and special interest groups

    2. Return on Investment and Profitability – Develop programs and opportunities to help members increase prosperity, profitability and performance

    3. Leadership – Implement opportunities to develop leaders

    Marketing Division, chaired by John Daviston, McKoon Funeral Home

    Goal:  Communicate the impact of the Chamber and actively promote the community


    1. Marketing – Communicate Chamber impact and value and what we are doing well through targeted strategies to internal and external audiences

    2. Prosperity’s Front Door® - Build  and promote the PFD brand to improve awareness of the six pillars

    3. Access Coweta – Determine highest and best use that enhances members and community

    Chamber Stewardship Division, chaired by Andy Miller, PrintSource

    Goal:  Maintain the leadership and resources to carry out the mission and vision


    1. Financial Stability – Finalize and implement tiered dues program to support revenue building strategy focused on operating efficiencies, financial sustainability, and member ROI

    2. Staff Excellence—Invest in staff professional development

    3. Performance Measures – Track performance metrics within each Division and report through scoreboard or dashboard to support knowledge-based board decision making and organizational efficiencies
