Candace LaForge, President

Candace LaForgeAs Chamber President, Candace oversees the day-to-day management of all the Chamber’s functions. Candace is one of only 13 Georgia chamber executives to receive a Georgia Certified Chamber Executive (GCCE) designation from the Georgia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, and holds an Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) from the Public Relations Society of America.

Candace is responsible for providing and executing strategic leadership for the organization by working with the Board and Executive Committee to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies. She ensures that the Board’s vision is carried out as a part of the Chamber’s annual business plan. She represents the Chamber on a variety of boards and committees in the community and serves as an advocate for business issues.


Candace oversees the activities of the following committees:

Valerie Ward, Membership Services/Operations

Valerie Ward maintains all membership accounts, processes billings for all members, and manages payroll, accounts payables and receivables. She maintains the organizational budget and serves as the Office Manager ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of operation.  She also focuses a portion of her time on membership retention activities, coordinates electronic membership communications and is responsible for the Chamber’s website.

Valerie oversees the activities of the following committees:

  • Ambassadors
  • Leadership Coweta

Marsha Watts, Executive Assistant/Receptionist

As the “front line” of the Chamber office, Marsha keeps visitors and callers feeling well cared for and helps ensure that they receive a prompt response to inquiries and needs. She also provides administrative support and project support for all Chamber events, services new members, and recognizes member participation and sponsorships.

Mary Tomlinson, Project Manager

Mary is responsible for many of the Chamber’s Signature Events, and supports the Special Events Committees in efforts to create memorable experiences for members and guests. Mary provides logistical support and planning for:

  • Annual Golf Classic
  • BigExpo
  • Annual Bowling Adventure
  • Shareholder Celebration

Mary is also responsible for coordinating the newly-formed “Think Chamber First” members-doing-business-with-members marketing campaign.

Monica Millians, Special Events Coordinator

Monica makes sure that the Chamber’s regular, monthly networking events are running smoothly. She supports both the Ambassador committee and others to create the following:

  • Early Bird Forum
  • Networking at Noon
  • Business After Hours

Marvin McKoy, Membership Recruitment

With years of marketing experience in both the corporate world and in private consulting practice, Marvin oversees the Chamber’s new member recruitment efforts.
