Chamber to Host Community Water Forum

August 16, 2007 (Newnan, GA) — The Public Policy Committee of the Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce is hosting a forum about the quality of and demand for water as Coweta County grows. The forum, to be held Tuesday, August 21, at the Central Educational Center, 160 Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. at 6:30 p.m., will feature local, regional and state water officials who will discuss and answer questions about the current condition of Coweta’s water supply and its future outlook.

“We all have concerns about having enough water to support Coweta County’s growing population and business community,” said Todd Hall, chairman of the Chamber’s Public Policy Committee and commercial lender with Southern Community Bank. “This is an opportunity to share our questions and concerns with those responsible for our water supply, and to find out what we, as citizens, can do to help ensure that there is clean and plentiful water for all.”

All Coweta County citizens and interested parties are encouraged to attend. The forum is presented free of charge.
