2012 Citizen of the Year Nominations Now Being Accepted
Do you know an individual with outstanding leadership and citizenship within our community, who has demonstrated exemplary vision, civic pride, and a strong commitment to a better Coweta? Download the form below or contact the Chamber of Commerce for a 2012 Citizen of the Year Nomination Form to recognize that special individual. The nominee should live in Coweta County and his/her activities should be centered in Coweta County and the surrounding area. Recognition will be given for leadership and performance in multiple areas of community service over a period of years. It may be an individual from any walk of life, and there are no requirements or restrictions relating to gender, age, race, religion, or ethnic origin. Gala Buffet Reception and Program
The 2011 Citizen of the Year Gala Reception will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2012, at the Coweta County Fairgrounds 275 Pine Road. This year's event is being hosted by the five Kiwanis Clubs in Coweta County-the Newnan Club, White Oak Golden K, Coweta County Club, Grantville Club and Historic Newnan Club. Tickets are $25 for a fabulous buffet reception beginning at 6:30 p.m. with opportunity to greet all the nominees for 2011 Citizen of the Year and preceding the grand announcement of Coweta's 2011 Citizen of the Year. Tickets may be purchased through the Chamber of Commerce at 23 Bullsboro Drive and Scott's Bookstore. All checks should be made payable to the Newnan Kiwanis Club.
