As Coweta's challenges and opportunities become more complex, there is an increasing need to develop strong community leaders.  A program of the Chamber since 1995, Leadership Coweta is a comprehensive leadership program that educates and better prepares a diverse group of community, government, business, and nonprofit leaders to work collaboratively in addressing local issues.

The program:

  • Provides a unique learning experience for emerging and existing leaders
  • Offers an intense curriculum that trains, empowers, and supports leaders so that they can effect positive community change
  • Creates an awareness for comprehensive community issues and opportunities
  • Creates opportunities for interaction with key community and elected leaders
  • Meets once a month beginning in September and ending in May

Program fee is $600.  Leadership Coweta is open to individuals who are either currently a resident of Coweta County or are employed in Coweta County (employer must be located in Coweta County) for one (1) year prior to September 1 of the current year.  Participants must show a sincere desire, be motivated and interested in the community, and have a strong desire to increase their service in key leadership positions in Coweta County.  Each class member makes a firm commitment to attend the entire program.  For questions, contact valerie@newnancowetachamber.org.
