SUMMARY:Coweta Safety Alliance Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Featured Speaker: Patrick Hanlon\n\nPatrick Hanlon is a Boston\, Massachusetts native and United States Marine Corps Veteran who enlisted immediately after high school\, driven by a strong commitment to service. After his military career\, he became the first in his family to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Finance.\n\n\n\nFollowing injuries sustained in the Marine Corps\, Patrick dedicated nearly eight years to Fire and EMS service. He began as a Firefighter EMT and advanced into specialized roles within both field operations and hospital systems. His career culminated as a Certified Flight Paramedic\, providing critical care in high-risk\, high-pressure environments across the United States\, including serving the Newnan community directly.\n\n\n\nIn September 2023\, a serious motorcycle accident marked the end of Patrick's flight career and the beginning of a new chapter. During his recovery\, the support of the Coweta County community played a significant role in his healing. While he physically recovered enough to return to emergency services\, the experience brought clarity and a renewed focus on family\, purpose\, and impact.\n\n\n\nToday\, Patrick serves as a Financial Representative with Modern Woodmen of America\, helping individuals\, families\, and business owners with financial guidance and long-term planning. Through Modern Woodmen's fraternal programs\, he helped direct approximately $15\,000 back into the local community in 2024 to support schools\, nonprofits\, and families in need.\n\n\n\nPatrick believes workplace safety is everyone's responsibility and must be embedded across all levels of an organization. Drawing from real-world experiences in the military\, emergency response\, flight medicine\, and recovery\, he shares practical insights on risk awareness\, decision-making\, and building a strong safety culture that protects people first.
