SUMMARY:Non-Profit Alliance Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the August Non-Profit Alliance meeting as we learn about Coweta Cares\, an innovative program making a meaningful impact in our community. Coweta Cares is a Mobile Integrated Healthcare program that pairs a community paramedic with a licensed mental health clinician who assess and support individuals in the community experiencing psychiatric-related emergencies. \nWe will hear from presenters\, Dr. Courtney Pierce and Brian Beckworth.\n\nDr. Courtney Pierce is the Clinical Director of Specialty Services at Pathways Center\, where she provides leadership for the Care Campus\, Coweta Cares clinical team\, and the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) and Community Support Team (CST) programs. Her responsibilities at work vary each day as she consistently adapts to meet the needs of the community - even if those needs are to be counseled on the ground on side of a busy highway during a Coweta Cares call. She does it all with grace\, empathy and kindness. With extensive experience in behavioral health leadership\, crisis intervention\, and clinical supervision\, Dr. Pierce is passionate about strengthening crisis response systems\, developing and supporting clinicians\, and improving access to quality mental health care that enhances the well-being of individuals and communities.\n\nBrain Beckworth has been with Coweta County Fire Rescue for 21 years and is currently serves as the EMS Division Chief. Among his multiple duties with CCFR he also oversees the Coweta Cares program in coordination with Pathways.\n\n\n\nRegister today!
