DESCRIPTION:Please join the Newnan-Coweta Chamber in celebrating the ribbon cutting/grand re-opening of Backpack Buddies of Georgia. They are a nonprofit in Coweta County that serves students with food insecurity in all schools in Coweta by providing bags of food on the weekend. Backpack Buddies serves students in all elementary\, middle\, and high schools as well as both charter schools\, CEC\, WDA\, Westside School and Maggie Brown. They currently serve 1200 students weekly. Backpack Buddies has currently undergone renovations so that they can serve more students. Backpack Buddies want businesses and organizations to come see their space and learn more about what they do. Snacks and beverages will be served.
