Groundbreaking Held for New Randolph Williamson Development

Athens TLC Dental Expands to New Watkinsville Location

ATLANTA (June 23, 2020) – A groundbreaking ceremony for a new Watkinsville-based dental practice was recently held. Dr. Anita Mathew, BDS, DDS, Prosthodontist with Athens TLC Dental, will move her practice with the construction of a modern, new office.
 
“I have dreamed of a place where dentistry is done differently, where we exceed our patient expectations—a sanctuary for patients,” explains Mathew. “My team has been able to provide just that at our current location in Athens. With this new, larger office, we will be able to help more patients, making a bigger impact in our community."
 
Darrell Baker, Vice President of Development for Peachtree City-based Randolph Williamson, is leading the Oconee County development and construction, working with Pellicano Construction on the project.
 
The groundbreaking was a family affair as Dr. Mathew was joined by her husband and business manager, Liju Kurian, their twin daughters, and Dr. Mathew’s mother. Friends, employees, their pastor and fellow members of Cornerstone Church in Athens were also in attendance.
 
“We’re excited about the expansion,” says Mathew. “This is a new chapter for us personally and professionally. Seeing it come together finally, only one word comes to mind—grateful.”
 
Located at 1021 Barber Creek Drive, about a mile away from the Piedmont Oconee Health Campus, Athens TLC Dental will occupy most of the 7,500-square foot office building. Approximately 1,500-square feet are available for lease to another tenant.
 
“We’re happy to be working with Dr. Mathew, Liju, and the TLC Dental family on their new home,” says Baker.
 
Construction is estimated for completion by late summer. Renderings of the attractive design resemble a handsome lodge more than a cold, sterile office. The new structure will feature board and batten siding, stone and wood elements, and a metal roof.
