What is Georgia Work Ready?

To successfully
compete in a global economy, businesses must have access to long-term, qualified labor pools.  The Work Ready program, an initiative sponsored in Georgia by the Governor's Office, was designed to build the nation's best workforce and ensure companies have the talent needed to stay ahead of the competition. 
 
Work Ready gives individuals the opportunity to validate their work skills and gives employers a reliable hiring tool.  Work Ready is based on a skills assessment and certification for job seekers and a job profiling system for businesses. By identifying both the needs of business and the available skills of Georgia's workforce, the state can more effectively generate the right talent for the right jobs.
