  • Prevention of slips, trips, and falls is topic of Coweta Safety Council’s July meeting

    July 27, 2018 (Newnan, GA) – Slips, trips and falls cost the American workforce thousands of dollars each year, according to Chris DeGeorge of Martin Safety Solutions. He spoke at the July 17 meeting of the Coweta Safety Council and shared tips on preventing these types of accidents.

    June 11, 2018 (Newnan, GA) – The Newnan-Coweta Chamber’s Young Professionals and Knox Pest Control will present the first annual Young Professionals Throw and Grow Cornhole Tournament on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. at White Oak Golf Club. A unique event and the first of its kind for this area, the tourney promises food, fun and healthy competition.   • Coweta Safety Council’s May meeting features Machine Guarding Awareness Training

    April 19, 2018 (Newnan, GA) – If a pandemic or terrorist attack strikes Coweta County, the first medication dispensed will go to those companies and organizations that have signed up to serve as a closed “point of dispensing” or POD.     The nominees for the 2018 Coweta County Citizen of the Year have been announced, and they are Nelda Boren, Kay Crosby, Christi Estes, Ginger Queener, Garnet Reynolds, Shelly Smith, David Watts and Angie Whitlock.
