Congratulations to Chamber members University of West Georgia President, Dr. Kyle Marrero and Georgia General Assembly Minority Leader, Rep. Bob Trammell. Both are named to Georgia Trend's 2018 Most Influential Georgians list.

The Georgia Trend article highlighted the 22 percent increase in economic  impact since Marrero arrived at University of West Georgia five years ago.  Both the Princeton Review and U.S. News & World Report have recognized the university as one of the best in the southeast. In 2016-2017, 2,610 degrees were conferred.

Rep. Trammell was elected to the General Assembly in 2014. Last July, Trammell was elected House Minority Leader.  He will now serve on the Rules Committee, the Ethics Committee, and the Ways and Means committee, in addition to four other committee assignments.
